The History behind the design
Soldiers of Christ.
That was the name they chose for themselves. Not warriors. Not knights. Not crusaders. Soldiers. Men who understood that the fight they had signed up for was not primarily one of flesh and blood, and who showed up for it anyway, fully armed, asking nothing in return.
The Knights Templar were the first standing military order in Christian history. Poor knights, by rule, they owned nothing, sought nothing, kept nothing. Two knights to a horse at the founding, sharing equipment because there wasn't enough to go around. They took vows that stripped them of everything the world considers worth having: property, comfort, reputation, survival. What remained when all of that was gone was the thing that couldn't be taken.
Militum Christi. The soldiers of Christ.
They held the road to Jerusalem for nearly two centuries. They built the hospitals. They garrisoned the castles. They rode toward what other men rode away from, not because they were fearless but because they had already settled the question of what their lives were worth and who they belonged to.
This isn't a shirt for men who are still deciding. It's for the ones who already have.
